As a resident of Northwestern Ontario I strongly encourage you to cancel the province's Spring Bear Hunt. The former Spring Bear Hunt was a disaster in Northern communities. The amount of orphan cubs was a epidemic. The hunting camps' use of bait removed all fear of civilization from bears caused all kinds of nuisance bear problems. The bear population is only now beginning to reach stability and your plan is to mess it all up again. Please don't do that to us.
