I am very supportive of the removal of duplication and unnecessary paperwork. Exempting forest operations from the EAA and the non-application of DEC order MNRF-75 may achieve some of these goals. Before this is actually enacted each item of the DEC order should be examined and a determination made as to its future status. Multiple items in the DEC state the MNRF shall "ensure" that an activity, process or service takes place. Each one of these items needs to be looked at to see if it is still needed and if it is, ensure the cost of providing the activity, process or service is not down loaded on to industry.
