I agree that you should be reviewing the identified species and carrier. The negative ecological impact of these species FAR outweighs the economic impact, so even if these species have a positive impact on businesses, that shouldn't matter. These species should not be allowed to be sold, especially the plants in garden centers or the other aquatic animals as pets. And if they are allowed to be sold, then they should come with warnings like cigarettes. There should be no exceptions!!
However, I recognize that I am not an expert. The laws should be primarily informed by experts in invasive species and Ontario's ecosystems, such as Ministry Biologists. I do support the laws that prevent the spread of invasives and have steep fines for those who break those laws.
