I am a citizen of Wilmot Township and wish to submit my Comments to support The Region of Waterloo's suggestions for Source Water Protection and the Citizens for Safe Ground Water:
With the Corvid 19 Pandemic being on the rise and with the economic situation that this will put our country in, it just does not seem a feasible time to accept or acknowledge any new or active applications for rezoning of any prime farmland or Gravel Pits.
When this country falls into a depression and it is predicted that it will.....WATER and FARMLAND will become the most important commodity...this country will need food that is home grown and to do that we need water and farmland.
So my question to your committee is ....will there really be a need for big homes and new roads???? This country will only survive if we can feed our fellow citizens and bring back our jobs!!!
