Re: 019-1444: I strongly object to the proposed waste processing & transfer plant at 633 Coronation Drive. Having a facility of this magnitude located within metres of large residential areas, schools, parks, recreational & seniors facilities etc, will have significant negative impact on our daily lives. It will certainly create health, quality of living & significant environmental concerns for the area. The fact that this plant will emit at least six toxic & greenhouse gases causing serious, and potential life threatening respiratory issues in addition to offensive odours is totally unacceptable which the EPA clearly prohibits the discharge of these contaminants into the environment. Surely the protection of human lives is reason enough to oppose this facility in this area which is so heavily populated. The proposed open air storage facility will also increase the rodents, insects & scavenging birds to the area as well. This proposal will also certainly negatively impact our property values. The fact that the proposed facility will operate 24 hours a day, 365 days a year offers absolutely no respite from the odour, traffic, noise & air pollution. We have been burdened for years with the odours from the sewage treatment plant and this will only exacerbate the situation immensely. A facility of this nature has no place in this area. Our fate is clearly in your hands. I strongly urge you to reject this application.
