I, along with many local residents close to the plant, object to this proposal to locate a waste depot and biogas generation plant close to our houses and schools. The attached file outlines the responses to an online petition posted by one of my neighbours, and details the comments posted by some of the local residents who signed the petition. The proposed location for the plant is totally inappropriate, being close to the Lake and community recreation areas and environmentally sensitive natural parks, and more than 6 kilometres from the Highway 401, requiring heavily loaded open top trucks laden with decaying waste material to travel through residential and commercial neighbourhoods twenty four hours per day seven days per week. The plant will negatively affect the residents quality of life, and will impact the local environment with the release of noise, odours and toxic gas emissions.
