The Township of King has serious concerns with respect to the commenting deadline of July 31st. Not only regarding the amount of time, but more particularly with respect to the timing. Late June and July are periods when typically Council meetings are recessed for summer break. This presents extreme difficulties for Staff to present summary reports and recommendations, and for Council to consider and provide comments to the Province on initiatives such as this. It is therefore strongly requested and encouraged that the Province reconsiders the current July 31st deadline and re-schedule it to September 30th. That would provide a more reasonable deadline and timeframe to allow Councils to consider thoroughly and provide meaningful comments to such an important document as this. Your consideration is appreciated.
