Environmental Assessments are crucial in any proposed land-use projects. Good farmland and healthy functioning natural areas are becoming scarce in this area, and if the communities in southern Ontario are to thrive in the future, they need both.
The Environmental Assessment system needs to be strengthened to take into account the value of natural areas and farmland to current and future residents of this region. Under no circumstances should this system be avoided or reduced.
Southern Ontario is currently on a path to destruction of all that supports our mental and physical health. It's time to stop this destruction and consider the value of all that the earth provides us.
