Although I am not a deer hunter, I am an active small game hunter, fisherman and birder. I fully support this proposal. I applaud the government for taking these steps. I only wish it was stronger, had fewer exceptions and was implemented a long time ago.

The introduction of CWD into Ontario would be nothing short of tragic. The game-farming industry is simply not worth the enormous environmental impact of CWD, not to mention the potential destruction of a large part of our hunting heritage. Game-farming should be phased out of Ontario as quickly as possible. We have had enough of pandemics...the time to prevent CWD is now, before it does to wildlife and hunting what covid-19 did to humans!
