I wish to applaud the MNRF…

I wish to applaud the MNRF for the proposal to expand the capture of specific wild raptors aw well as allowing a limited number of Northern Goshawks to be used for falconry. I fully support this proposal.

By eliminating the draw, we ensure "all" falconers are given the opportunity to fulfill their dreams of flying a wild raptor.

Apart from the obvious improvements this will provide to falconers, I wish to say how pleased I am to see how the MNRF has worked together with the other interest groups and stakeholders, improving fairness and sustainable access to this important wildlife resource.

I also know the OHC will continue to expand its knowledge of the goshawk, habitat, nesting activities etc. Along with the MNRF, I am confident we will soon have some of the best data available on this bird.
