On behalf of the Connecticut Falconers Association and as a member of the North American Falconers Association, I wholeheartedly support for the proposal as written in notice 019-1806.
Falconers have played an important role in raptor conservation, including significant contributions in restoring peregrine falcon populations in North America. By allowing more falconers to have access to wild birds, the MNRF is encouraging more active conservation and citizen science.
The Ontario Hawking Club has been very active in monitoring goshawks, and I strongly support the proposal to allow adjustment of the numbers of goshawks based on new information as it becomes available in the future.
Thank you for your consideration of this comment.
Regards,
Jon D’Arpino
