It’s time to open our eyes…

It’s time to open our eyes and look at the state in which the world is in. Climate change, habitat destruction and extinctions are here. This is not a step in the right direction. This is a step backwards that will make things worse, and we all know it. I worked with turtle monitoring on the Canadian Shield for 3 months and saw the destruction of habitat taking place simply from constructing road systems. I watched as fragmented habitats and urban sprawl reduced endangered species populations. I work in ecosystem restoration and I have to witness the mess humans leave behind, and try to fix it as best I can. Please don’t add to the mess. Be responsible and humane and think past economic development. I’m asking for this proposed amendment to be denied.
