I am calling on the Ontario Government to stop the misuse of MZOs, and to oppose changes to the Conservation Authorities Act and to prevent the sprawl that will inevitably result from allowing developers to have a key advisory role in implementing the new rules.
It is vital that we protect the Greenbelt from sprawl; these areas are vital for our health, for the locally produced food that keeps our farmers employed, for the biodiversity and to protect us from the disastrous impacts of climate change.
I am pleading with you now to listen now before it's too late. My grandchildren's future is bleak unless we gain control of our environment.
As a resident of Halton, I know that all four Mayors and councils and a vast number of residents are opposed to your proposed changes.
