I am against giving this Minister any more authority or power. This seems a dangerous precedent and an undemocratic way to address housing needs. Community collaboration is essential to meeting everyone’s needs. I see in many areas of the province that big developers, especially those whose CEOs make generous political donations such as Dream and Kilmer and Tricon, get their interests met over that of communities - the everyday citizens. These men live on large tracts of beautiful land, while despoiling land and habitats of others. Ethical and democratic principles and methods must supersede expedient profits. Please think 7 Generations ahead.
