Why is the provincial government sidestepping local democracy in order to ram through development projects with no proposals or plan? MZOs seem to only be used by Premier Ford in order to benefit his developer friends, screw over the City of Toronto, or destroy protected wetlands. The province should be working to making life better for Ontarians, instead it is doing what it can to reduce democratic processes and benefit big business. I’m sure this will fall on deaf ears but the province needs to leave municipal planning to the municipalities.
