The proposal to allow MZO's to override Conservation Authority protection of wetlands is a terrible idea and should not proceed. Most of the examples of MZO's I have seen go directly against sound environmental and development policy. The government of Ontario should leave the local land planning process alone. Ontario should encourage densification of existing developed areas rather than green field sprawl.
