Ontario should support Shortline Freight Railroads and their infrastructure so that the work to maintain their stability and integrity. (See Oxford County study)
Ontario should invest in small communities as places to stop on long journeys with an integrated vehicle charging network (rest areas etc) and these should not always be at the side of the road outside of places.
Ontario should support recreational opportunities that draw people into the north (snowmobiling, camping, boating etc).
If there is to be an Ontario Northland Railway connection, could Sudbury - North Bay - Toronto be a connection (so that it is not as impacted by freight railway congestion), and it adds another connected city with higher order transit and a feeder for other bus services).
Supports for self driving vehicles should also be considered about how to future proof roads and support the Ontario.
