This proposal is a foolish attack on Ontario's planning policy system. It chips away at the policy-led nature of the system and delegitimizes the planning system by creating one set of rules for the Provincial government and its favoured projects and another set for everyone else. The PPS contains province-wide policies for the good of the Province and exceptions with enough flexibility to work across Ontario. MZOs should not be exempt from the government's own policies.
