I support your idea of expanding the greenbelt and yet have noticed certain areas that are already supposed to be protected by the greenbelt are being developed on and feel we need to enforce protection on those areas first. I agree with the areas you mentioned but see other areas that should be included. Durham Region has been hit with a lot of development lately and areas are being rezoned to accomodate these developers. One specific area in Oshawa on Thornton Rd North we discovered has a colony of Blue Herons and fear for their safety and other forms of wildlife in this area. I wonder if you have any recommendations on how we can appeal this and ptotect other such areas?
