I strongly oppose Schedule 3…

I strongly oppose Schedule 3 of Bill 257.

This Bill proposes to sidestep community consultation and local planning processes. At risk are the many benefits provided by Ontario’s farmland and natural areas, including flood control, local food, water purification, carbon sequestration, biodiversity conservation, recreational opportunities.

Our environment is infinitely more valuable than the MZOs. A healthy, intact environment provides endless value economically, socially and ecologically for the well-being and resilience of all living beings, now and for our children and generations to come.
