Hello,

I am in favour of expanding the Greenbelt.

I have grown up close to the Rouge Valley on the edge of Scarborough. I am glad that it has gotten some protection and that the animals and birds of the region have a home.

I grew up in an era before the Toronto Zoo, the Scarborough Campus of the University of Toronto, and when the 401 had less traffic then is currently found on Ellesmere. It was a good time for a child to be out exploring fields and creeks. I would wish that sort of opportunity for every child.

In general I find the open fields, wooded forests, clean lake shores, and the animals and birds that live in them as wellsprings of positive inspiration.
