I am very happy to learn of this proposed expansion of the Greenbelt. Any legislation that will protect southern Ontario's rapidly diminishing natural areas is definitely worth enacting. I became aware of the beauty of the Greenbelt a few years back when my husband and I walked the area for an entire summer. I found the Niagara Escarpment particularly wonderful. The flora and fauna of the Greenbelt (and beyond) desperately require our stewardship, for once they're gone, they're gone forever.
