RE: ERO number 019-3471: Eliminating Renewable Energy Requirements
This continuous disregard for renewable energy sources from the Premier of Ontario has got to stop.
The entire planet is in a climate crisis, requiring all hands and all technologies on deck to get us to stop global warming to under 2'C (at minimum!)
The G-20 community is producing lowered GHG emissions because they know that climate targets cannot be met without renewables.
How is it that the province of Ontario is so far behind!?!
I implore you to stop this process. It makes no business sense to deplete a finite resource.
Invest in green technology like wind and solar; invest in the future.
- A report by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) calls for reduction of 45% by 2030
-International Energy Agency (IEA) report just released Net Zero by 2050: A Roadmap for the Global Energy Sector, states “Renewable energy technologies like solar and wind are the key to reducing emissions in the electricity sector, which is today the single largest source of CO2 emissions.”[1]
- it is recommending increasing renewable energy.
