Good for MNRF to get out in front of this issue. You may need to develop a strategy for the hunting community as well, given that they will be anxious to assist once the arrival of the wild pig threat occurs. Limiting their role to reporting rather than hunting down these pigs may prove frustrating for them; be prepared for complaints and the occasional shooting of a pig. Ontario hunters may also complain if trained night shooters are brought in, particularly if they're from outside the Province. The right messaging to them will be important.
Consistent messaging from OMAFRA and the Environment Ministry on this subject will also be important as word gets out to the public that control actions are being implemented. There will always be someone or some group that will object.
