With regards to the proposed cancellation of the Ontario Cap and Trade program. I am firmly against the cancellation. First and foremost, this program shows that Ontario is committed to curtailing global warming. We must put forth an effort to save our environment.

Second, it is extremely short sighted of the government to think that saving a few cents per litre of gasoline is a better way to spend money than providing incentives to new technology. If we continue to live in the past, the rest of the world will move on without us. Get with the times, provide innovative ideas with more funding.

Please don't cancel an established working program without having a new well thought out plan in place first.
