Thank you for the opportunity to comment! I fully support much stronger regulations limiting acceptable levels of emissions from the transportation sector, especially transport trucks. It is critical that government create strong regulations that are actually enforced, along with other incentives, to support the transition to a low carbon economy. There are existing, accessible made-in-Canada technologies that are available commercially right now by which vehicles will conform to the new standards you are proposing. In other words--the standards you are proposing are achievable right now. I am referring especially to the Toronto-based company "Dynacert", whose Hydragen Carbon Emission Reduction Technology dramatically reduces carbon emissions while at the same time saving the end user money through reduced fuel consumption. This is a "win-win"--a win for both the environment and the economy. But private sector transportation companies need a significant push form the government. All of which is to say: the emission standards you are proposing are achievable right now. We can no longer wait, delay. Climate change is already exacting a heavy financial and environmental toll, and delays will make it only worse. I support your proposals to integrate safety and emissions inspections for commercial vehicles. Please do not weaken the standards you are proposing and implement them as expeditiously as possible. Thank you!
