Greetings;
It high time for Ontario to show the rest of the world how to easily and cost-effectively clean up emissions from diesel engines. The Ontario government needs to introduce mandatory implementation of DynaCERT technology on all commercial diesel vehicles (see https://dynacert.com/). Each unit costs about $10k installed and with up 19% fuel savings, the unit pays for itself in about 12 months (depending on use). When installed, it reduces NOX by up to 88%, reduces particulate matter (i.e. black smoke) up to 55%, reduces CO by up to 46% and CO2 up to 9%. Imagine how clean our air will be for immediate benefit. For further savings, each system tracks Carbon Credits, and it well on its way to being approved by Verra (see https://www.businesswire.com/news/home/20211018005247/en/Verra-Publishe…). The products have undergone extensive testing by TUF Nord in Europe and ICAT in Asia and are accredited for use the world over. These systems are on trucks, buses and generators of all sizes today and have proven themselves durable. Even better, these systems are designed and manufactured in Toronto. The Ford gov has had various MPPs through the plant, so this is nothing new. Its a win-win all the way around. With all the climate urgency, now is the time to act.
Thank you for your attention to my comments.
