I was born in Hamilton and have lived in Ontario all my life with my family.
I am not in support of the urban boundary expansion. The real estate within many municipalities is taken up with scattered, inefficient and run-down properties that should be taken down and developed with improved high rise multiple dwellings integrated with businesses providing services and jobs.

By using up dwindling farmland, the utilities, roads and community services will be more expensive due to the sprawl and we will be forced to further rely on imports for our food supplies. Urban sprawl will amplify the problems with water flooding and further degrade the quality of the environment for wildlife and reduce the amount of green space needed to filter pollutants in our current living spaces.

We need to support the maintenance of existing farmlands and green spaces.
