As the owner of an electric car for a month, I would say the following:
There is limited infrastructure between Sudbury and Ottawa and Sudbury to Thunder Bay. I have not travelled to Thunder Bay but I was told this. However, I did drive to Ottawa and there are no phase 3 chargers until you reach Ottawa.
Also, legislatively, I would like to see it mandated that all charging stations allow for paying with credit or debit and not having to provide an app with your email, address, phone number and then fill it up with money, which then leaves money in multiple apps because every charging station I used on the way to Ottawa was different.
Then, I would say, for infrastructure, we definitely need to be thinking 'not fuel'. It takes at least 10 to 15 minutes to charge a car, it mainly takes an hour or two. Charging stations should be at restaurants, and malls, not gas stations where there is nothing to do while you wait.
