I am astounded that this would even be a consideration. The Green Belt is a method of protecting our environment so that we can continue to live in this beautiful province. To think that this would be a consideration is appalling. The GTA should have to consider that it has met its maximum land limits because we are slowly getting to the point where they will have to face this reality as we continue to change laws to encroach and expand into our greenbelt. If this continues, we will be dealing with a point of no return. Perhaps it is time to take Greenbelt options off the table and consider that other parts of Ontario can experience growth in housing and therefore their economies. The GTA solution always comes at the price of the rest of us in Ontario.
