What's the point of designating a protected Greenbelt if the government can just decide to develop over it? Developing this area is irreversible and should not undertaken so lightly especially when there are alternate solutions to housing supply concerns.
When has urban sprawl ever solved any problems? If we want more affordable housing, Ontario should focus it's efforts of creating denser, complete communities that actually generate revenue for the government rather than creating sprawling low density housing projects that just get subsidized by urban centres.
