I'm very disappointed with the dismantling of this law and the government not providing any other good alternative.
Tha Cap an Trade system aims to lower greenhouse emissions, which is what we desperately need, by putting caps on the amount of pollution companies emit.if they exceed those limits they must buy allowances at auctions or from other companies that don't reach the limit. Dismantling a climate change law that was working is bad for business and bad for our health . The money from Cap and Trade was funding energy efficient programs in Ontario communities.
It is a shame that a law that was working is swiped away just because the new provincial government wants to erase the good programs from the liberal one just because of politics.
The health of our children and our grandchildren is in peril just for that. Shame.
