This cannot happen and I am 100% against this proposal. We need to protect the greenbelt not just for nature and climate change reasons, but to prevent flooding into Toronto and causing even greater ecological and climate problems. This government promised not to touch the greenbelt and I expect them to follow through.
I have been a resident of Ontario my entire almost 50 years and I have never seen anything as egregious as this by a sitting government during a climate crisis.
Housing is 100% needed but not like this. Shame on this government for what it is doing to our future.
