As a long time resident of Ontario (65 years), I am very concerned about the proposal by the Ontario government to re-designate any acres of the green belt for development. These lands were designated to the green belt to preserve the unique and fragile environments for future generations. Once these lands are developed they are gone for good. Other areas that already have infrastructure that are more suitable for development needs to be found.
