Why is this being done? In the "Report of the Ontario Housing Affordability Task Force", section "Making land available to build" on page 10, it has already noted that lack of land is not the problem with the housing crisis in Ontario.
I would like irrefutable proof that this is what is needed to assist the housing crisis. This official report already states that this is not necessary at all. This is a report from the official Task Force earlier this year.
Is the proposal to open up Green belt really to address a housing crisis? It would be nice to have ANY evidence at all that this move is actually a good and necessary move for everyone, as it is now, there is no good explanation as to why this is the solution to the housing crisis when it's been reported already that it is NOT.
