I live on the Oak Ridge's Moraine and have for the last 23 years. I know how delicate this ecosystem is. On our 22 acres, we have multiple springs, and two creeks converge into one before joining Bowmanville Creek. One creek actually starts on our property. To live in this environment is to understand how delicate and valuable it is. If you've ever had the opportunity to discover an Ovenbird's nest, you'd truly understand how delicate and connected everything is on the greenbelt.

What Ontario needs is more housing density closer to already urbanized areas.

Sprawl is a proven long term development failure.

Shame on Doug Ford and his government for jeopardizing the environment for future generations just to let rich developers build multi-million-dollar homes on sensitive lands.
Ford promised not to touch the Greenbelt. As usual, Ford lied.

None of the 500,000 immigrants possibly heading to Ontario are going to be buying $2M homes on the greenbelt. They need affordable, urban housing supported by a robust transit system. Build what we need, where we need it. More transit, more density, more greenbelt.

Once you destroy it, we'll never get it back. Shame on you Doug Ford. Shame. Shame. Shame.
