The Greenbelt is sensitive, irreplaceable land. You cannot "move" it or "reallocate" to it. Building on the greenbelt will have generational impacts - it is not the correct approach.
Dealing with Toronto Housing, one should look at density in existing areas, rather than building outwards. We need mixed-usage mid-level buildings in area where we currently have single-family dwellings.
Further, we need affordable housing. Real affordable housing, not a flimsy promise from a developer that a percentage will be "affordable", which gets dropped after the build phase is done. Building out in the greenbelt will not give us more affordable housing.
