Wait, so it will both remove the cap and trade program, a program meant to encourage companies to mitigate their carbon footprint through market force influence, AND make it so people couldn't take action against this new Act? Seems a bit much, eh? Isn't the nature of a parliamentary system one that encourages debate and public input? Ruling it illegal to pursue action against an Act seems like a child telling his parents he's right because he said so.
Beyond that, the other parts of this new Act seem like the red tape that this government argued was part of the problem with the previous government. You're going to bog down an otherwise completed process with yet more 'preparation' and 'preparation for the plan to follow preparation' rather than working within an established system. So when someone asks you what you're going to do about climate change in this province, you can tell them you're working on it. Half-truths are not becoming of government leaders.
