Building urban sprawl on the Greenbelt is not a viable solution to Ontario's housing crisis. In fact, it is hard to imagine that this proposal benefits anyone except developers and their lobbying groups at the expense of Ontarians as a whole. This is not land/biodiversity that we can simply recreate. Destroying it is mortgaging our ecological future for the gain of a few.
We need housing density, zoning reform, and ecological urban planning. We don't need cookie-cuter detached homes built on conservation area.
