I do not support any removal of Greenbelt land for development, including housing. Urban sprawl is not the way forward to adding homes in Ontario. We need to add density and services to support that density in our cities. Municipal and provincial governments should work together to enact policies that encourage densification, and protection of green spaces, conservation and farming land.
2 million acres of protected land work together to provide us with fresh air, clean water, fantastic local food and drink, and world-class outdoor recreation and tourism experiences.
78 species at risk, including 25 plants, 25 birds, 12 reptiles, 6 fish, 5 mammals, 2 butterflies, 2 amphibians, and 1 dragonfly.
We do not need to destroy more natural habitat to make more housing. We need to properly build on the space we already have to making expand housing and make it affordable
