The city of Hamilton voted to keep the urban boundary the same and to build within those limits. The provincial government is going against the preferences of citizens in the proposal.
More focus should be on building townhomes or multi dwelling buildings to address the housing crisis instead of continuing to expand outwards. There is no infrastructure (transportation, etc) to service these areas. This plan has not been thought through.
Our province should prioritize the environment, keeping green space and build more density instead of sprawl.
