I absolutely oppose this approach.
We have a housing issue for sure, but there is plenty of land in southern/central Ontario that is not environmentally significant.
Just look at the map. One does not have to be a environmental scientist to see the significance of the Oak Ridges Moraine on the health of our lakes - Simcoe, Ontario and other essential water bodies that we need to keep our ground water safe and clean, for us and wildlife. It acts as a natural filter.
Absolutely - the Oak Ridges Moraine should be protected and not developed. Please look to other ways to provide housing and do not touch this environmental gem.
