I am against amending the current plan to protect the Green Belt. This government’s reckless disregard for our environment and Ontario’s green spaces is short sighted and will do irreparable damage that future generations of Ontarians will unfairly have to contend with.

Doug Ford’s government has consistently shown that their policies are in the interest of the few rather than the many. This government has not shown that they will act appropriately with our most precious resources. The Green Belt should remain protected, and amendments to allow for development will be viewed as a major mistake in time, similar to Mike Harris’ government selling off the 407 highway.
