Developing a green economy and a sustainable market is the future of global energy and commercial production. The entire world has agreed that climate change is one of the greatest threats to our existence this century. To remove ourselves from that kind of change is absolutely irresponsible to the well-being of Ontario and it's people.

There is a demand for renewable energy, for sustainable technology, for the infrastructure to push humanity into our future without destroying the world around us. That demand is GLOBAL. Our green projects, and our cap-and-trade are our foot in the door into a new type of market that is going to dominate the world economy.

To remove ourselves from that hurts us. Ontario is not open for business if we are choosing not to capitalize on a brand new market that could bring unbelievable wealth to everyone in this province. Ontario is not "for the people" if we are condemning our children and their children to a life of water scarcity, drought, extreme weather events, foot shortages, and massive displacement of global populations, and the unbelievable expense that comes with that kind of chaos. This government cannot be "for the people" if they choose to enrich their own short-sighted goals at the expense of the people who will undeniably suffer for this lack of action.

These kinds of programs aren't something our Premier should be cancelling and changing on a whim These decisions should not be made based on the "will of the voter", and whatever other empty justification the OPC tries to come up with to justify their dismantlement of our future. The only thing that is important right now is what is best for EVERY Ontarian regardless of the cost.

People come first, Doug Ford. Not you, not the OPC, not the "will of the voter", but every member of our society.
