Hamiltonians have voted against urban boundary expansion time and again. We do not need more urban sprawl that will eat into green spaces.
The focus should be on higher density in already developed areas. There are many areas within the city that should be redeveloped to support higher density residences.
We need infrastructure improvements to handle more people, expanding the urban boundaries will only increase congestion on roadways as there is no transit system in place to move all of these people around the city.
Do not expand urban boundaries. Focus on increasing density in the existing urban boundaries. Save our green spaces and protect the environment.
