I believe the lands which currently comprise the green belt should remain as such. Communities surrounding the green belt have opportunities for in-fill and intensification within their existing lands. Having lived in Richmond Hill for a number of years in our small neighbourhood there were a number of vacant houses waiting for redevelopment (primarily into single family homes, unfortunately), empty lots with no buildings-some owned by private individuals and some owned by the municipality, and few legal opportunities existed for increasing density in existing neighborhoods. Our neighborhood and surrounding business would have benefited from intensification.

Leave the green belt as it is. Other opportunities exist.
