Destroying our precious farmlands and conservation areas would be a blight on our province and further accelerate our already precarious environmental standings (global climate emergency). We do not need more urban sprawl when it destroys land used to grow our food, destroys drinking water, as well as destroying essential wetlands and ecosystems that we absolutely rely on. There is no room for greedy land developers, and if more housing is necessary, there are many empty lots in which to develop, perfect for apartments and condominiums. I am wholly against expanding building of any kind into Ontario’s Greenbelt, as well as but not limited to, our conservation areas and protected lands.
