Many of our cities do not have enough tax revenue to cover services to low density housing such as single family homes. We need to focus on adding density, build taller and multi unit residential buildings. Higher density buildings produce more tax revenue for the building footprint then single family homes, and this are more economical. They are also better serviced by public transit, which helps reduce traffic congestion.
Paving over the greenbelt is not only a bad decision environmently, it is also economically unwise, and a large political blunder.
