It is reckless and irresponsible for the government to expand Hamilton urban boundaries into protected green spaces and farms for development. Houses built in these areas are not going yo solve our main problem which is affordable housing. When the city has made the decision to build within its boundaries, then that is what should happen. There are a lot of derelict builds and empty lots which could be used for development in the city of Hamilton. This provincial government is going to do more harm to the environment and take away much needed farm land (fruits and vegetables from other countries in the grocery stores in the summer is absurd and already happening). Now is the time to make an agressive stand for protecting our greenbelt and environment. The government should be leading the way on this not pandering to developers and rich people who can afford houses in the greenbelt.
