Environmental experts agree your proposed changes will cause a host of irreversible ecological problems. You cannot just destroy sensitive lands and make up for it elsewhere... That is not how nature and ecosystems work. Scientists are warning of loss of species, harm to our water systems, and a host of other negative cascading effects. We need to protect these lands (as your government promised it would). Housing issues can certainly be addressed in other other ways with a little imagination. There is plenty of opportunity to make better use of the land outside the greenbelt and to relax restrictive rules that only permit single-family homes in these areas. There is absolutely no justification for going after these protected lands! Keep your hands off!
